Grief Reconnection &
Ongoing Wellness
(GROW)
Grief Reconnection and Ongoing Wellness (GROW) program combines group-based EMDR-GRIEF modules with ongoing workshops to support healing and growth. Some modules must be completed in sequence as they build on each other, while others can be joined at any time. The program helps participants process grief, manage emotions, and find meaning while fostering connection through activities like yoga, breathwork, and social bonding. GROW offers a compassionate path to reconnection and long-term wellness.
1. Grief Groundwork
This introductory step provides essential information and psychoeducation about the grieving process, mirroring the Grieving phase of EMDR-GRIEF. Held as a single 2-hour session, it focuses on understanding grief, preparing participants for deeper work. This session is a required starting point for all participants but does not involve active processing.
2. Reconnection
Focused on grounding and nervous system regulation, this phase mirrors the Reconnection phase of EMDR-GRIEF in a group setting:
Grounding Techniques: Two 2-hour sessions designed to teach essential coping and stabilization skills. These are required and must be attended before progressing.
Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP): An optional registration that includes five 2-hour meetings. Each session features 1 hour of specially curated music for nervous system regulation, followed by group reflection.
3. Ongoing Evolution
This step focuses on processing deeper emotions:
-
Individual EMDR-GRIEF Sessions: Conducted with a TGI therapist for a personalized approach.
-
Group Sessions: A less intensive, group-based option designed to provide support while exploring big emotions.
4. Wellness
This step is open to all and does not require previous registration. It offers ongoing workshops and retreats to promote long-term healing and growth. Activities include yoga, breathwork, social connection, and immersive overnight retreats, all aimed at fostering wellness and community.
